Construction Rubber Track Warranty

Our CTL (Compact Track Loader) rubber tracks and dump carrier rubber tracks (regardless of width) are covered by a 12 month limited warranty.

Our excavator rubber tracks (450 mm & smaller) are covered by an 18 month limited warranty

COVERAGE

EQUIP LLC Tracks are warranted to be free of defects in material and workmanship.

PREMATURE WEAR: CSC Rubber Tracks are covered against premature wear for a period of 18 months from the date of the invoice. Premature wear will be figured in millimeter increments. Premature wear does not cover incidents of abuse. Subject to our inspector's discretion.

JOINT & STEEL CORD FAILURE: CSC Rubber Tracks are covered against joint and steel cord failure for a period of 18 months from the date of invoice. Warranty will not be issued if tensioning requirements are not met, or track being subjected to abuse subject to our inspector’s discretion.

NOT COVERED

• Any use or installation which EQUIP LLC judges to be improper
• Damage from misuse, negligence, alteration, accident, overload,  misapplication, or resulting from poor mechanical condition/adjustment on the machine.
• Minor cosmetic defects, such as surface cracks, splits, and other superficial distress that may impact track appearance, but does not render the track unusable or measurably diminish overall life.
• Freight, labor, or business loss due to track malfunction.

DISCLAIMER

All tracks should be installed based on OEM Service Manual specifications. Any tracks not installed and tensioned to OEM specifications will be deemed the responsibility of the “customer” and will not be covered under warranty. Undercarriage components must be checked before installation of any new rubber tracks to be certain the components are within the OEM specifications. If undercarriage has 1000 operating hours or more, the sprocket and idler wheels should be replaced before the installation of the new rubber tracks. Worn undercarriages cause improper wear of the links (inserted metal pieces) and could cause joint failure or link failure. CSC Rubber Tracks should not be used in “severe environments” such as demolition applications, concrete destruction, petroleum environments, or scrap steel yards. If the machine has had steel tracks on previously, the rock guards must be taken off to prevent excessive wear on the inside of the rubber tracks.

REPLACEMENT TRACK WARRANTY

If a track is replaced due to a defect in materials and/or workmanship during the original track warranty period, and the customer participation is less than 50%, the replacement track warranty period will be limited to the remainder of the original track warranty period. A track with 75% or more customer participation will carry a full new track warranty period.

RUBBER TRACK CARE

All rubber tracks should be kept clean of petroleum product . Tracks should be checked every 20-50 hours for proper tension. The number one cause of track failure is improper tension, normally caused by customer. When changing grade with machines with rubber tracks, meet the grade “head on.” Once the machine is on the grade, then turn the machine in the direction you wish to go.

COST OF WARRANTY

Warranty only covers the cost of the replacement. All shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer. EQUIP LLC is only responsible for cost of the rubber track. EQUIP LLC is not responsible for the costs of the repair on the machine or down time due to track failure. EQUIP LLC is not responsible for any lost revenues for rental, sale, or otherwise due to down time because of a pending warranty issue. EQUIP LLC’s responsibility is only for the rubber track and assumes no responsibility for any damages or otherwise to replacement and/or property.

AGRICULTURAL RUBBER TRACK WARRANTY

Warranty Period

Agricultural usage:
- Friction Drive tracks: 24 months or 2000 working hours, whichever comes first;
- Positive Drive tracks: 24 months or 1500 working hours, whichever comes first;

Non-agricultural usage:
- Friction Drive tracks: 18 months or 1200 working hours, whichever comes first;
- Positive Drive tracks: 18 months or 1000 working hours, whichever comes first;

Warranty period starts from the date of purchase by the end user.

Track claims received longer than 36 months after the date of manufacture will be considered out of warranty and no coverage provided.

Exclusion

Any damage caused during installation process;

Abnormal wear or tear;

Renovated or repaired tracks;

Any damage caused by applied on positive system;

Damage caused by abuse, misuse, accident, wrong dimension or usage beyond the track design;

Damage caused by poor machinery condition, machinery adjustment or incorrect maintenance for undercarriage, like improper tensioned, worn-out idler/roller, de-shaped sprocket, etc.

Steel cords or rubber being cut by sharp object or appliance;

Damage caused by applied in inappropriate working conditions;

Small apparent defect and other surface damage may has a certain effect on track appearance, but will not lead to track failure or reduce the service life apparently, such as minor polishing or scratch, exposure of reinforced fabric caused by normal wear, small cracks on surface rubber, small bending cracks on guide lugs etc. ;

Rapid wear or damage caused by extended transport operations;

Incorrect use or installation judged by Taite.

Customer Participation Chart

To determine the replacement price, the appropriate pro rata percentage from the customer participation chart is multiplied by the current list price. The appropriate pro rata percentage is determined by the months of service (starting from the date of purchase by the user) and machine operation hours.

Warranty for Replacement Track

If a track replaced due to a defect in materials or workmanship during the original track warranty period, then the replacement track warranty period is determined as follows:

In the case that the customer participation is less than or equal to 60%, the replacement track warranty period is limited to the remainder of the original track warranty period;

In the case that the customer participation is more than 60%, the replacement track will carry a full new track warranty.
